“Also don’t force yourself, appeal to the side of you that wants to go. Tell yourself that if you get there and you want to go that you can. The mind often functions like a scared animal and whenever you force it into a scary situation it is more likely to fight than cooperate. So just gently convince yourself to go making yourself the promise that if you get there and immediately want to leave that you are free to do so.”
